Wire Mesh Tape

Wire Mesh Tape

  • EMI cable shielding
  • EMI shielding mesh
  • EMI shielding cable tube

Overview

  • EMI shielding wire mesh tape, also called wire mesh sleeve, is made in the form of a flexible flat tape by knitting metal wires.
  • It mainly wraps electric wire outside in a spiral shape to shield the noise generated from electric wires.
  • It can be used for magnetic field shielding depending on the metal wire material.

Features

  • Excellent corrosion resistance and flexibility, and excellent electromagnetic shielding effect.
  • Double or triple weaving is possible depending on the shielding rate requirement.
  • Metal wire material can be selected according to the frequency band and shielding rate.
  • Weaving method by inserting wire directly into the knitting machine is also possible.

Shielding Effectiveness

* Test Method: ASTM D 4935
* Sample: Sn Plated Cu (Tested with wire double-ply sheet)

Applications

One or several strands of electric wire are wrapped in a spiral shape by overlapping in half to organize the wires or to shield electromagnetic noise.
It is also possible to weave wire mesh tape by putting electric wires directly into the center of mesh tape in the knitting machine.
